Structure

The Global Network is composed of five regional networks: Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and Middle East, with overall coordination provided by SOLIDAR from Brussels.

Each regional network is composed of national partner organisations (members) which coordinate Global Network activities at the national level. The National Coordinators meet at a regional level at least once a year, with regional coordination provided by a named individual from one of the partner organisations in each region.

Regional Coordinators meet as a group at least once a year, with representatives of SOLIDAR and IFWEA, as the Global Network Steering Group.

The Global Network Steering Group, co-chaired by Elizabeth Tang, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions, and Keith Sonnet, Deputy Secretary general of UNISON, brings together coordinators, supporters and the founding organiations (SOLIDAR and IFWEA) in order to provide a forum for discussion of the more strategic and political aspects of the Global Network and ensure project implementation.
